If a figure is described as "hand-cast" then it has been made by hand with minimal mechanical aid, as opposed to mass-produced machine made figures. "Hand-cast" figures are often produced in very small runs (for obvious labour-related reasons). Figures described as "hand cast" are most often made of resin. Plush, wood or vinyl figures are unlikely to be described as this.
