Biography

Founded in 2004, FiGUREPUNK is based in London & Stoke-on-Trent, UK. It is an experiment in independent designing, sculpting and manufacturing avant-garde art toys. FiGUREPUNK creates toys as limited edition art objects in deliberately small editions.

There is no aim, no plan, some of the figures aren't even for sale!.....it's a DIY thing, a creative freedom thing, a punk thing.

As time goes on and we see ever greater monopoly of toy production by large companies so it becomes more important for individual cultural workers to offer an alternative to shallow mass market products. Inspired by Asian independent toy artists FiGUREPUNK makes toys with originality, individuality and character. We encourage others to do the same!
