I am Sog. A figment of my imagination, born as a result of artist block. Based out of Miami, Florida, I am a sculptor trapped in comic artist's body, obsessed with making my sketched ideas multi-dimensional. Bred and raised on “McFarlane” toys, it was culture shock when I was introduced to the urban vinyl scene. The "simplicity" of the figures are beautiful and complex. Customs, how a fresh coat of paint could transform a toy completely and take on a new identity. Anxious to immerse myself into this rapidly expanding new world, I taught myself to mold and cast. Seeing my ideas come to life has been very fulfilling. Inspired by other’s work, I hope I inspire others to mutate my “blanks”. Until my hopes of mass production are realized, I push forward to make a name for myself. One by one I will make them, until they make me. | I am Sog.
