Timo aka “das mo” was born and raised in Dortmund, Germany and has lived and worked in various cities since.<br />
<br />
When running into designer toys in 2002 for the first time, the big toy movement was still to come in Europe. Timo kept on tracking the introduction of designer toys into the urban art scene and started working on his own toys in 2007.<br />
<br />
For Timo, coming from the basic character conception on paper, via digital 2D and 3D work, it is the feel of surfaces that gives the modeling and customization of designer toys its unique and inspiring character.<br />
<br />
His latest project Spud Q takes his pure use of shape and aesthetics from designer toys into the interior design and results in a stool that combines furniture and character design.<br />
